This was the first album I had on CD and I remember listening to her in the car with my dad and being like ‘woah I want to be a rockstar like her’.

My mom usually doesn’t sing but she absolutely loves this song and I have so many memories of us singing it at the top of our lungs together in the car. I can’t hear it without hearing her voice.

Louise – “They All Want You” by Lissie
I went to watch her play a few years ago in Brooklyn and was blown away by her stage presence. I didn’t know any of her songs beforehand and went away and rinsed all her albums.

Kristin – “Taking the Long Way” by the Chicks
I used to love singing/playing this song when I was like 10 years old and heard it recently and was like “wow I still really love and relate to this song.” It made me feel like I must have known from a young age that I was going to do something a bit different with my life.

To be honest I’m pretty much exclusively listening to Lizzo at the moment. She’s the energy I need right now.
