Etta Marcus, a 20-year-old singer, songwriter, and musician hailing from South London presents her first EP, View From The Bridge. A personal and intimate experience that expresses universal
sentiments of loss, regret and a desire to strive for something better. A search for hope that flows throughout. Over the course of these five tracks, Etta creates a sonic world of haunting yet romantic melodies, combining idealism with deeper truths.
All songs were started in the bedroom of her family home written on her guitar, a ritualistic part of Etta’s process. What began as a skeleton has now become a full body of rich nocturnal drums, shimmering guitar lines, and dark, mesmerising vocals, without comprising the authentic framework from which every idea began.
Etta takes inspiration from an incredibly wide range of artists. From growing up listening to Jeff Buckley, Everything But The Girl and Joni Mitchell, to the likes of Mazzy Star and Alex Turner
